Our clients include SMEs and large organisations across the private/public/third sector and private individuals. We regularly work with a mixture of in-house legal teams, HR departments, HR consultants, business owners, managers and directors.
The Role – HR Specialist
Your workload will be varied as part of our small and friendly team. You’ll work with our employment solicitors to provide strategic and tactical advice to clients on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, reward, benefits, and training on HR related topics.
Key Responsibilities
– HR Audits and developing solutions.
– Organisation design.
– Business change including redundancies.
– Tupe.
– Trade unions and employee engagement.
– The end-to-end recruitment process.
– Developing and revising HR policies and procedures.
– Drafting employment contracts and handbooks.
– Salary surveys, benchmarking and job evaluations.
– Reward strategy and salary structures to attract and retain talent.
– Performance management and evaluation structures.
– Providing management/employee training on HR related topics.
– Conflict resolution and mediation on employee relations issues.
– Investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
About You
– Chartered CIPD Level 7.
– Knowledgeable on Employment Law alongside HR.
– Ten years’ experience ideally across several sectors and industries.
– Background in generalist HR, employee relations or policy development role.
– Able to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team.
– Good attention to detail on client work and your own administration.
– Credible and persuasive with a positive can-do attitude.
– Adaptable to different types of clients and work.
– A strong, confident communicator and decision maker.
– Excellent written communication skills.
– Able to analyse complex situations and give clear advice.
– Client service orientated.
– Good sense of humour!
